Embarrassment at the Consultation

Many people arrive for an initial consultation feeling very apprehensive. They might have misconceptions about hypnotherapy or they may have tried other forms of therapy without success or both. At the same time a person may feel slight or acute embarrassment about what troubles them.

A therapist must overcome all these issues calmly and directly. Hypnotherapy must be clearly explained, misconceptions clarified and then reassurance is provided that the person need not feel embarrassment. Confidentiality is assured and then trust established.Therapy can proceed.
