Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Recent radio commercials have been extolling the benefits of nicotine replacement patches and other forms of “nicotine replacement therapy”. During the radio commercial, an anonymous person is asked if the patches alone are working and the person states in a slightly dejected tone “not really well”.
The commercial concludes by asserting that “nicotine replacement therapy in conjunction with one to one support creates the best chance to quit smoking. Will power is needed”. I see hypnotherapy and CBT in the context of “one to one support” and particularly enhancing will power.
