Questions and answers about hypnotherapy at Clevedon Hypnotherapy Centre.

Questions and Answers
Hypnosis
is a natural mental state whereby an individual, with an analyst,
through verbal induction assumes a physical state of meditative
relaxation combined with a heightened self awareness, within the
context of trust.
- Can everybody be hypnotised?
Yes. The misconception persists that there are people that cannot be hypnotised.
- What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis
is completely relaxing and common sensations can include feeling heavy
or light. Others have described the feeling as though they were in a
comfortable meditative state. Almost invariably it's described as a
pleasant experience.
Hypnotherapy is
the use of hypnosis combined with deep relaxation to help people with
many kinds of emotional or psychological problems and the habits that
may result. Post-hypnotic suggestion may also be used during
hypnotherapy to enhance the positive results.
- Is hypnosis all about mind control?
Definitely
not. Our professionalism and strict code of ethics means that you need
not worry anyway. You will never feel 'out of control', nor will you be
asleep during the session. You'll even be surprised by how much you
remember of the session.
- Can hypnosis impart false memories?
Again, definitely not. Hypnoanalysis and hypnotherapy have nothing to do with either mind control or implanting false memories.
- Are drugs or tablets used?
No, none whatsoever.
- Will my ability to work or drive after each session be impared?
No, you will be able to drive and return to work immediately after each session.
- Do you offer a free initial consultation?
Yes.
I would like to meet you and discuss your case in complete privacy and
it usually lasts about 30 to 40 minutes. After the free consultation
there is no obligation. A consultation is not usually required for
smoking cessation.
- How much do your sessions cost?
This depends on the nature and type of the session. Please see my schedule of fees stated above.
- If I seldom relax how can I be hypnotised?
In a calm and peaceful environment I will be able to help you achieve a state of complete relaxation.
- How many visits will I need?
After the free initial consultation, we will look at your
individual circumstances and decide roughly how many treatment
sessions are likely to be necessary. For straightforward suggestion therapy (quitting smoking, pre-exam jitters, etc) only 1 session is usually needed. For analytical hypnotherapy (hypnoanalysis) generally 6 to 10
sessions, once a week will be required.
I do not make home visits. All consultations and sessions are conducted from my private office.
Monday through Saturday. Sunday appointments are available.
- Should I need therapy, can I deal just with you?
Yes. I deal with all bookings and appointments myself, either over the phone or email and this ensures confidentiality.
- How do I book an appointment or consultation?
To make an appointment call 01275 874396 or 07834225680 anytime between 9 AM and 6 PM seven days a week between 9 AM and 6 PM seven days a week. Weekend appointments are available. Ron
