Sexual problems and inhibitions

Despite how common intimate or personal issues can be, people of both genders will often be reluctant seek help for their sexual issues. I must reiterate that your case will be dealt with compassionately, with sensitively and in complete confidence.

• Premature ejaculation                

PE can lead to a host of emotional issues: low self-esteem, lack of confidence, depression, and sense of failure are but a few. Issues such as guilt, fear, and performance anxiety about sex, especially in the inexperienced partner or with partners new to each other may aggravate problems ejaculating. PE is the most common sexual dysfunction in men younger than 40, affecting up to 10% of the male population.  Premature ejaculation is the experience of ejaculating too quickly with very little sexual stimulation during all sexual encounters. Premature ejaculation occurs before it's desired, either before or during sex,  or even before penetration.

• Impotence

Impotence is where men find it difficult to get an erection, or cannot maintain an erection. This can lead to feeling like a failure, frustration, feelings of inadequacy, feelings of rejection and feeling 'on the spot'.

• Frigidity

Frigidity is also known as Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder. In adults, the loss of sex drive, or a lack of interest in sex or very low libido can cause frustration, anger, alienation and fidelity problems within a relationship.

• Vaginisimus

Vaginisimus, is a sexual problem affecting women where sex is painful or impossible due to intense involuntary muscular contractions around the genitals. Symptoms can include genital pain, loss of libido or loss of sex drive, self-esteem problems, fear of penetration, painful sex, depression and much more.

• Orgasmic dysfunction in women.

Even some women who enjoy sex can fail to reach orgasm. This is known as anorgasmia.  Sometimes there is a combination of anorgasmia and vaginisimus. Problems reaching orgasm are very common in women. Some have never achieved an orgasm.
