Good Health

Every day on the TV news there are reports of political events domestic and international, sports stories, weather reports from around the world and something health related. Our good health, or the absence of it, finds its way into the news every day. There has been a gradual shift in the last decade from an awareness of disease to an awareness of prevention. If each person took care of their health to the best of their ability, the NHS would be far less burdened in the long and short term. People will get hurt, people will grow old and babies will be born, but otherwise sustaining good health means the NHS has a much better chance of being sustained. Perhaps maintaining good health is a responsibility unto ourselves and a responsibility to society.
