In a report broadcast on BBC’s Breakfast program today, it’s estimated that a quarter of the British population is over weight or obese. In the same report was stated that new NHS guidelines on weight loss recommends overweight people lose a little weight and keep that weight off for the rest of their lives. To some extent I agree with this approach.

For some individuals, obesity is a symptom of issues other than food, laziness, lack of exercise and poor diet. Compulsiveness and binge eating are often symptoms of emotional distress with obesity the outcome.

Hypnotherapy with CBT can help a person feel, think and act differently and thus lose weight gradually and keep it off for good. I would even go further and say a person who sees me for weight management could lose a significant amount of weight and keep it off for a lifetime.
